म्हणोनि शोकु न करीं I तूं पुरता धीरु धरीं I हे शोच्यता अव्हेरीं I पांडुकुमरा II 21 II
तुज नव्हे हें उचित I येणें नासेल जोडलें बहुत I तूं अझुनि हित I विचारीं पां II 22 II
येणें संग्रामाचेनि अवसरें I एथ कृपाळूपण नुपकरे I हे आतांचि काय सोयरे I जाहले तुज II 23 II
तूं आधींचि काय नेणसी I कीं हे गोत्रज नोळखसी I वायांचि काय करिसी I अतिशों आता II 24 II
आजिचें हें झुंज I काय जन्मा नवल तुज I हें परस्परें तुम्हां व्याज I सदांचि आथी II 25 II
तरी आतां काय जाहलें I कायी स्नेह उपनलें I हें नेणिजे परी कुडें केलें I अर्जुनां तुवां II 26 II
मोह धरिलिया ऐसें होईल I जे असते प्रतिष्ठा जाईल I आणि परलोकही अंतरेल I ऐहिकेंसी II 27 II
हृदयाचे ढिलेपण I एथ निकेयासि नव्हे कारण I हें संग्रामीं पतन जाण I क्षत्रियासी II 28 II
ऐसेनि तो कृपावंतु I नानापरी असे शिकवितु I हें ऐकोनि पांडुसुतु I काय बोले II 29 II
"Lord Krishna implored Arjun not to grieve and above all not to lose poise. It's time to hold the grit, don't let your courage and determination falter and don't allow the sorrow to overwhelm you. It's time to live the epithets you have earned as a glorious warrior. It's time to take a moment to reflect on your current situation and consciously choose actions that will positively contribute to your task in hand instead of getting carried away by the rampant flow of emotions. You must not allow your emotional attachments to influence your actions on the battlefront making you weak. All of a sudden why are you feeling an intense overflow of love for these people? Were you not aware of it before? Then why is this outburst of emotions all of a sudden? This battle between the Kauravas' and Pandavas' is not a novelty any more because the animosity between them has a long history. On this background what is so unique of today that you are acting so weirdly? Why is this sudden outpouring kindness for your enemies? However there is no doubt this is the worst thing you have done. Hope you know of it's consequences that not only your earned glory will be lost but you'll be trapped in limbo between the mudane existence and finding meaning to your life indefinitely. Soft hearted towards the enemy on the battlefront does not go well with a true warrior and it is something that a Kshatriya vehemently dislikes. In this way Lord Krishna counsel Arjun so that he can get over his confusion at the earliest."
