"But as soon as the accumulated merit because of good deeds is lost, the stay in the abode of Lord Indra comes to the end and one descends from the divine abode of Swarga to the Mrutyulok. Losing the merit the performer of yadnya feels as vulnerable as the one reduced to poverty spending extravagantly on the prostitute, so much so that in the end he is unable to knock the door of even the same prostitute. Similarly those who instead of recognizing the eternal Me spend their good merit to enjoy the heavenly pleasures lose their immortality and destine to Mrutyulok. Boiled for nine months in the smothering heat of filth in mother's womb, they take birth again and again. Just like waking from sleep, the treasure found in the dream is lost, so false should be the heavenly pleasures to the Vedic performers. Just like after separating the grain the chaff remaining is useless, one may be adept in Vedas' but if he is unaware of the underlying essence Me, then it's all in vain. And therefore the knowledge of all three Vedas' is futile if it is without recognizing Me. However with My Realization you enjoy bliss even if you don't know anything else."
