एऱ्हवीं तरी कौतुकें I विचारूनि पाहें पां निकें I या विषयांचेनि सुखें I झकविजती कवण II 109 II
जिहीं आपणपें नाहीं देखिलें I तेचि इहीं इंद्रियार्थीं रंजले I जैसें रंकु कां आळुकैलें I तुषातें सेवी II 110 II
ना तरी मृगें तृषापीडितें I संभ्रमें विसरोनि जळातें I मग तोयबुद्धी बरडीतें I ठाकूनि येती  II 111 II
तैसें आपणपें नाहीं दिठें I जयातें स्वसुखाचें सदा खरांटें I तयासीचि विषय हे गोमटे I आवडती II 112 II

"Now let's give a careful thought to who falls prey to the sense entanglements said Lord Krishna to Arjun. Those who are ignorant of the True Self are enticed by the sense entanglements just like a famished person eats even chaff of grains, or an extremely thirsty deer panting for water runs after the mirage. Similarly those who has no idea of what the Self Realization is all about find the sense entanglements very appealing."
