"The one thousand cycles of the four yugas (Satya, Treta, Dvapar, and Kali) make up one day of Bramha and the same duration constitutes one night in Satyalok or Bramhalok. Those who dwell in the Satyalok having so long days and night are the most auspicious and they are the "Chiranjeev" or immortals in heaven. Indras have negligible existence in their comparison because fourteen Indras constitute one day of Bramha. "Ahoratravid" is the name for those who witness all eight prahar of Bramha, for they are the KNOWLEDGE manifested.
(Each prahar is a period of 3 hours, and there are eight such prahars within a 24-hour cycle. "Ashta Prahar" refers to eight prahars, which constitute a full day.)"
