"Then being extremely thirsty the Kundalini sips out the Sapta Dhatu, the seven elements in the human body that nourish, grow and support the body and mind in entirety namely Rasa, Rakta, Mansa, Meda, Asthi, Majja, Shukra, thus turning the body to parched or dried out with heat. It then gets hold of the amount of the wind in the nostrils and draws it in with force. This causes suppression of both Pran (upward moving breath) and Apan (downward moving breath) and in that state only the subtle nuances of ShatChakras' remain. It is as if the agitated Kundalini is asking the Pran and Apan to get out of the place. The Kundalini devours without a crumb the earth elements as well as the water elements of the body leaving behind nothing. Thus satisfied it resides near Sushumna Nadi. The venom that spurts out of its mouth as a sigh of contentment becomes a life-saver Amrut to the suppressed Pran thus rejuvenating it. The Pran however remains untouched of the venom. It pacifies from within. And then the organs of the body start regaining their lost strength back again. Meanwhile there is a disruption in the flow of the "nine winds" in the body, the subtle energies or currents that flow through the body, influencing its functioning and overall well-being. There is a disruption also in the functioning of the "Nadis", the network of channels from which energy flows in our bodies. Together they make the bodily functions come to a halt. The union of Ida and Pingala Nadis, the left and right energy channels in the body then comes true thus untying of the three "Granthis" (psychic knots) Brahma Granthi, Vishnu Granthi, and Rudra Granthi which are believed to obstruct the flow of Kundalini energy and prevent full awakening. The subtle nuances of the six Chakras' break too.

(Brahma Granthi:
Located at the root chakra (Muladhara), it's associated with the creative force and physical desires, material attachments, and selfishness. Untying this knot is about releasing these material and emotional attachments to allow the energy to flow.
Vishnu Granthi:
it's associated with the preservative and sustaining force, activity, and Prana (vital energy). This knot is related to the universal power of motion and activity.
Rudra Granthi:
untying it involves developing discernment between the phenomenal world and the absolute.)

The vayu through the Nadis' Ida and Pingala known by moon and sun becomes so thin that it cannot put out even a wick lamp."
