"The listeners were elated by eloquence of Sant Dnyaneshwar. They applauded him and hence asked him to narrate what Arjun said to Lord Krishna. Dyandev, the obedient disciple of ShriNivruttidas said, the mundane me finds it inadequate to narrate this timeless, compelling and relatable dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjun on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Yet I attempt it with your encouragement. Just like by God's Will nothing is impossible. Ravan, the mighty King of Lanka was killed by Lord Ram with the aid of monkeys. Arjun single handedly defeated the large formidable army commanded by the Kauravas and their allies in the Kurukshetra War. Similarly it is by your blessings that I elucidate meaning of Bhagwad Gita before you. Now let me have your attention to listen the very essence of Gita from the mouth of Lord of Vaikuntha Himself, who knows it best, true, and first-hand. The greatness of Bhagwad Gita is that it's principal speaker is
Lord Krishna who is the primordial orgin of all things, glorified by Vedas and universally venerable. The profoundness of its meaningful insights is so overwhelming that it is beyond the grasp of even Lord Shiva. So it is better to bow before it with respect. Arjun yearned to see before his eyes the unfolding of the Vishwaroop, the divine revelation of the Universal Cosmic Form, the manifestation of the inner realization he already had, that the whole universe is Lord Himself. But he was unable to find the courage to ask for it."
