"Lord Krishna said to Arjun, there is another way such a person can be recognised. The sea accommodates water of all the rivers, yet it never overflows on to the land. In the summer the river beds often turn dry, but the sea never runs out of water. Similarly even though the Sthitapradnya has many supernatural powers at his disposal, he never loses his poise. Just like the sun is not bothered about whether the wisp of a lamp is lighted or not, the Sthitaprardnya is least interested of the supernatural powers he possesses, being absorbed in the ecstasy of the Supreme Realization all the time. The senses cannot entice hIm to whom even the abode of Lord Indra is unworthy. Just like when even Amrut is not endearing any more, the rice gruel too is of least importance, similarly for the one who has experienced Self Realization, the possession of supernatural powers is of least significance. Who cares for the supernatural powers when even the heavenly bliss seems trivial."
