तैसें ज्ञान तरी शुद्ध I परी इहीं असें प्ररुद्ध I म्हणोनि तें अगाध I होऊनि ठेलें II 263 II
आधीं यांतें जिणावें I मग तें ज्ञान पावावें I तंव पराभवो न संभवे I रागद्वेषां II 264 II
यांतें साधावयालागीं I जें बळ बाणिजे आंगीं I तें बंधन जैसें आगी I सावावो होय II 265 II
तैसे उपाय कीजती जे जे I ते यांसीचि होती विरजे I म्हणोनि हटियांतें जिणिजे I इहींचि जगीं II 266 II
ऐसियांहीं साकडां बोला I एक उपायो आहेच भला I तो करितां जरी आंगवला I तरी सांगेन तुज II 267 II

"The wisdom remains unattainable because of the burden of anger and lust. Acquiring wisdom past conquering them is not possible because these demons cannot be defeated entirely. Just like the wood catches fire easily and burns, in turn aids combustion, any means employed to control anger and lust become instrumental in aiding them. And therefore anger and lust irritate even those who practice Hathyog, the physical techniques to try to preserve and channel vital force or energy. However alarming this peril may seem to be, let me suggest you some measures to counter them said Lord Krishna to Arjun."
