ऐसें संजयो असे सांगतु I म्हणे राया तों पार्थु I पुनरपि शोकाकुळितु I काय बोले II 81 II
आइकें सखेदु बोले श्रीकृष्णातें I आतां नाळवावें तुम्हीं मातें I मीं सर्वथा न झुंजें एथें I भरंवसेनी II 82 II
ऐसें येकि हेळां बोलिला I मग मौन धरूनि ठेला I तेंथें श्रीकृष्ण विस्मो पावला I देखोनि तयांते II 83 II
"Sanjay said to Dhrutarashtra, let me tell you Arjun's words. The deeply saddened Arjun said to Lord Krishna, please do not try to convince me any more because I stand firm on my decision of not to fight. He said this and then stopped still. Lord Krishna was amazed seeing him stand still like that."
मग आपुलां चित्तीं म्हणे I एथ हें कायी आदरिलें येणें I अर्जुन सर्वथा काहीं नेणे I काय कीजे II 84 II
हा उमजे आतां कवणेपरी I कैसेनि धीरु स्वीकरी I जैसा ग्रहातें पंचाक्षरी I अनुमानी कां II 85 II
ना तरी असाध्य देखोनि व्याधि I वैद्य सूचि निरवधि I अमृतासम दिव्य औषधि I निदानींची II 86 II
तैसें विवरीतु असे श्रीअनंतु I तया दोहीं सैन्यांआंतु I जयापरी पार्थु I भ्रांतिसांडी II 87 II
तें कारण मनीं धरिलें I मग सरोष बोलों आदरिलें I जैसें मातेच्या कोपीं थोकुलें I स्नेह आथी II 88 II
की औषधाचिया कडुवटपणीं I जैसे अमृताची पुरवणी I ते आहाच न दिसे परी गुणीं I प्रकट होय II 89 II
तैसीं वरिवरि पाहतां उदासें I आंत तरी अतिसुरसें I तियें वाक्यें हृषीकेशें I बोलों आदरिलीं II 90 II
"Perplexed of Arjun's words, Lord Krishna spoke his thoughts aloud with himself, what is it you are doing Arjun? You are not able to understand the gravity of the situation. What can be done to rejuvenate your faltering determination? Standing between the two armies, Lord Krishna's mind was deep in thought about finding the way out of this difficult situation. It was just like an exorcist plans to cast out evil spirits and cures people of demonic possession or just like for a patient suffering from a incurable disease, the doctor plans a course of an Amrut like life saving medicine at the eleventh hour. And then with a particular plan of action in mind Lord Krishna started talking to Arjun to help him get rid of his despair. His words though spoken firmly were full of his concern for the well-being of Arjun. They were just like scolding by mother is full of her love for the child or the medicine may taste bitter but it's Amrut like effectiveness doesn't remain hidden for long. Let's now listen to what Lord Krishna said in His fluid discourse."
