"Arjun experiences profound despair and inner conflict on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. His mind is overwhelmed by material attachments, particularly his concern for the well-being of his kinsmen and the consequences of engaging them in a battle. Without your counsel it is impossible for me to get over this moral dilemma that is plunging me into deep gloom said Arjun to Lord Krishna. No joy can take away this gloom, not even if we are given the whole earth as our kingdom or we are offered the throne of Indra, the king of the gods and king of the heaven. Just like the roasted seeds fail to sprout again irrespective of the fertile soil and watering or just like no medicine is of any use when life ceases except Amrut, the divine nectar that is said to grant eternal life, no material comforts can elevate the mundane mind except Your Krupa, Your Grace said Arjun freed of his delusion momentarily. However the delusion override him again. His delusion of attachment was not ordinary, it was profound, like the venom of the deadly snake bite. The waves of this venom struck his sorrowed heart incessantly again and again. Being aware of how fatal this venom of attachment can be, Lord Krishna like a snake charmer, well known to turn the poison ineffective simply by His Grace-full-Gaze rushed to his rescue. The dark complexioned Lord Krishna thus stood resplendent with the deeply saddened Arjun guarding him with His divine play. The delusion of attachment engrossed Arjun's sense of judgement just like clouds hide the sun. His agony was like that of a mountain scorched by the forest fire in the summer. Lord Krishna soothed Arjun like a huge dark rain cloud showers rain and rescues the scorched earth. Flash of lightening were the shining teeth of this cloud and the thunder, His voice.
What follows hereafter is an account of how the showers of this Grace-full dark cloud would calm down the agony of Arjun, so that he would be able to overcome his inability of not being able to decide what to do. His realization would be like new green shoots sprouting after the rain showers says Dnyaneshwar mauli, the disciple of Sant Nivruttinath."
