"Lord Krishna said, let Me now describe the 'Adhibhut'. The physical manifestation that is constantly changing is called 'Adhibhut'. It denotes all that belongs to the material or elemental existence.
Just like clouds manifest and dissolve. All that has name and form, that is formed of Panchamahabhutas' perish with them. That is called as 'Adhibhut.'
'Adhidaiva', in its essence, is the Purush, the cosmic form of the divine, which encompasses the entire material Creation and is the source of all existence. It represents the divine principle that governs the universe and is associated with the subjective experience of the divine within the individual. Purush is the Witness Consciousness. it is the source of light and intelligence that illuminates the intellect. It is the observer of the mind's activities, not the active participant. Purush provides the awareness, while Prakruti provides the means (including the senses) for that awareness to interact with the world. He is that tree on which the Sankalpa Vikalpa birds rest when the body dissolves. Purush can be understood as a representation of the Supreme Being or Paramatma, particularly in relation to its role as the universal spirit and source of all existence. 'Adhidaiva' Purush is little different in the sense that due to "I" Consciouness there is an experience of pain and pleasure due to Maya. For the body comprised of the Panchmahabhutas', Jeev (individual soul) is 'Adhidaiva.' 'Adhiyadnya' is the one who causes the dissolution of the body consciousness."
