"The Prakruti (The primal matter, creative energy, or nature from which the entire universe (including elements, mind, and body) arises.) is considered as Beginning-less by Sankhya Philosophy. The Kshetra is the form of Prakruti. Everything needed to farm the Kshetra are inherent in her. Prakruti is the material cause or substance from which the Kshetra (the physical body and the entire material world) is formed. The Prakruti dictates the nature and behavior of the Kshetra.
The material nature (Prakruti) governs the characteristics, modifications, and functions of the physical field (Kshetra). The principal among them are the Gunas Sattva, Rajas, Tamas which are born of Prakruti. The sowing is done by Rajas Guna, Sattva Guna guards and the Tamas Guna gathers the mature crop. Then with Mahat Tattva as the threshing floor, (a threshing floor (खळे) is specifically the open area in a field or yard where harvested grain is threshed (separated from the chaff and stalks), by harnessing Kal-rup oxen. In a way it is twilight of the imperceptible or transcending the body consciousness attaining union with Paramatma, the Supreme Being."
