II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II
ॐ नमो जी आद्या| वेद प्रतिपाद्या| जय जय स्वसंवेद्या| आत्मरूपा ||१-१||
Every element in this world has its own sound. The murmur of rivers, the rustle of trees, the gust of wind, the waves of ocean or sound of waterfall. However the unstruck sound 'Omkar', or the sound of the celestial realm is a mystic sound that occurs spontaneously and is not the result of striking or beating certain things. It is said to be the primordial hum of the universe, resonating within human consciousness. Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj fondly called as 'Mauli', in the beginning of this epic respectfully bows to most auspicious 'Omkar', the perennial flow of life that is without beginning and is endless, embracing all that exists and is being sung in the core of our hearts.
'Arundhatidarśananyāya' is a Sanskrit maxim used to infer “the unknown from that which is known”. The maxim is named after Arundhati, the wife of the sage Vasishtha. The very faintly visible star Arudhati is identified only after pointing the brighter star Vasishtha. Then relative to that, the Arundhati star is directed. Similarly 'Mauli's' bowing down before the primordial sound 'Pranav or Omkar' is but revealing the formless Creator (Nirgun), otherwise beyond comprehension, into form (Sagun) through the sound principle."
