"Even though the arrogant Kauravas' are eager to battle, we must not get carried away. How can we kill our own kin? How can we ever be happy by doing such a deed? Will it not be similar to consuming the deadly poison Kalkut knowing it is going to kill us? While travelling if one comes across a lion, is it not prudent to avoid the confrontation? What is the use of leaving the light and entering the darkness? Seeing a raging fire before us if we do not get away in time, nothing can save us from turning into ashes. With these things hitting hard it is very difficult to get ready for the battle said Arjun to his beloved Lord Krishna. Let me now tell you the awfulness of this sin."

"When two pieces of wood are rubbed together, the friction ignites fire that consumes all wood. Similarly when family members of the same lineage fight with each other, their conflict ultimately results into complete annihilation of their family relationships. And therefore we must avoid this confrontation before it is too late."

"Arjun continued, with larger familial community falling apart, the dialogue between the family members ceases. As the bond and connection that love provides is crucial for maintaining a healthy family unit; when that love fades or is significantly diminished, it can lead to growing conflict, distance, and ultimately, the breakdown of the family structure. When this happens one loses the ability to differentiate between right and wrong, good and bad, and to make sound judgments based on ethical principles and moral values. It is like a trip and fall due to extinguishing the lamp in hand and walking in the dark.
With the breaking of familial bonds, the senses go rampant corrupting even the noble women. The elders mixing with the young uproots the very hierarchy necessary for healthy family relationships.
At the falling apart of a larger familial community, the wrongdoings go as rampant as the bevy of crows crowding over the food kept in open."

"The larger familial community as well as the family members responsible for its debacle both go to hell. With this their forefathers in the heavenly abode too are pushed out and fall down. This is because when the familial bonds cease, the respect and remembrance for their departed forefathers also ceases. They too join others in the hell. Just like the snake bite at the tip of a nail reaches the head, the annihilation encompasses the larger familial community in entire."
