"Those who expect no gratification from their actions attain the Omnipresent Cosmic Principle becoming one with it. The state of infinite cosmic wisdom that keeps the Sthitapradnya unaffected of the agony at death was told to Arjun by Lord Krishna said Sanjay. Hearing this Arjun thought that whatever Krishna said serves his purpose. As He said if Buddhi Yog is indeed above the Karma, then it supplements my decision of withdrawing from the fight on the battlefield. Arjun thus seeks guidance of Lord Krishna.
Dnyandev, the obedient disciple of Sant Nivruttidas presents this occasion that marks the series of delightful conversations between Arjun and Lord Krishna, a vast ocean of discerning wisdom in itself, from the Supreme Lord Krishna Himself."
