जेणें सत्याचा भोकसा काढिला I मग अकृत्य तुणकुटा भरिला I तो दंभु रूढविला I जगीं इहीं II 250 II
साध्वी शांति नागविली I मग माया मांगी शृंगारिली I तियेकरवीं विटाळविलीं I साधुवृंदें II 251 II
इहीं विवेकाची त्राय फेडिली I वैराग्याची साल काढिली I जितया मान मोडिली I उपशमाची II 252 II

"Illustrating the upheavals caused by lust and anger Lord Krishna said, they replace truth by falsehood and then make ostentatious show of it. Poise, like a wife loyal to her husband is abused, while Maya, the other woman is pampered thereby disrupting even the balanced minds. Lust and anger rob one's ability to think and act with reason peeling off the dispassion. The mind's ability to stay determined is lost along with the peace of mind."
