जैसी चंदनाची मुळी I गिंवसोनि घेपे व्याळीं I ना तरी उल्बाची खोळी I गर्भस्थासी II 260 II
कां प्रभावीण भानु I धूमेवीण हुताशनु I जैसा दर्पणु मळहीनु I कहींच नसे II 261 II
तैसें इहींवीण एकलें I आम्हीं ज्ञान नाहीं देखिलें I जैसें कोंडेनि पां गुंतलें I बीज निपजे II 262 II

"Just like snakes are known to coil around sandalwood trees or just like placenta surrounds the fetus. Just like it is impossible to have sun without glow, fire without smoke and a mirror without the dust, it is impossible to find wisdom untouched of anger and lust. It dwells within but remains out of sight just like the grain is covered by chaff."
