जें धर्मजात आघवें I युगींयुगीं मियांचि रक्षावें I ऐसा ओघु हा स्वभावें I आद्यु असे II 49 II
म्हणोनि अजत्व परतें ठेवीं I मी अव्यक्तपणही नाठवीं I जे वेळीं धर्मातें अभिभवी I अधर्मु हा II 50 II

"Over the Yugas' it has become a precedent that maintaining moral code that guides a person's actions is solely my responsibility. And therefore whenever Dharma is oppressed by the reign of Adharma, I keep aside my original birthless-ness and formless-ness and incarnate myself to establish Dharma (righteousness) on earth."
