"The palm of hands then form a cone like shape and rest gently on left feet, shoulders raised. The head is held tight between the raised shoulders with spine straight. The eyes turn drowsy, struggling to stay open. The upper eyelids drop, while lower eyelids expand making eyes half open. The vision turns inwards, yet glimpses outside and falls naturally on the tip of the nose. Since it has already turned within and cannot go out it stays there still. It doesn't seek the view of the outside world any more. Lowering the head the chin is lowered towards the chest so that it is pressed against the hollow at the base of the neck. It is known as Jalandhar Bandha also known as the Throat Lock. There is another "Uddiyana Bandha" or Abdominal Lock in yog where the navel is pulled upwards, the abdomen flattens and heart expands. The Uddiyana Bandha influences Swadhisthan Chakra located in the lower abdomen four fingers below the navel and two finger-widths above the Muladhara Chakra."
