"The concentrated effort required to hold a pose helps quiet the mind and reduce sensory distractions. By controlling the senses through yoga practice, withdrawing the mind from external distractions and turning inward, one can access a deeper sense of self-awareness and spiritual understanding. The 'Chitta' meets the true Self. 'Chitta' encompasses the totality of the mind, including thoughts, emotions, memories, and impressions. Standing with its back at the senses 'Chitta' looks at the True Self. There is an instant recognition as if it identifies with itself. The ecstasy that follows is no less than enjoying the empire of Bliss, ultimately merging into the Supreme Consciousness becoming one with it. This highest level of awareness often described as Pure Awareness or Ultimate truth is beyond the realm of the senses or requires moving beyond the limitations of our physical and mental perception."
