आणि फळाचिया हांवा I हृदयीं कामा जाला रिगावा I कीं तयाचिये घसणी दिवा I ज्ञानाचा गेला II 139 II
ऐसे उभयतां आंधारीं पडले I म्हणोनि पासींचि मातें चुकले I मग सर्वभावें अनुसरले I देवतांतरां II 140 II
आधींच प्रकृतीचे पाइक I वरी भोगालागीं तंव रंक I मग तेणें लोलुपत्वें कौतुक I कैसेनि भजती II 141 II
कवणी तिया नियमबुद्धि I कैसिया हन उपचारसमृद्धि I कां अर्पण यथाविधि I विहित करणें II 142 II

"The luminous lamp of KNOWLEDGE is put out quickly when sense entanglements combine with attachment to the results. With the darkness inside out they can't see Me even though I am near. This leads them to worship other deities. Engrossed in Maya and slaves to sense gratification the ritualistic worship thus continues with various offerings."
