"Because of this, life of such people go in vain just like clouds in the seasons other than rainy season or seeing from distance waves of mirage where the desert or hot pavement appears to ripple with reflected light, creating the illusion of water. This is because a close scrutiny reveals their hollowness. Or just like illusion of ornaments by a magic trick or horserider figurine crafted from clay or a stone fence around the city of Gandharvas', a mystical celestial city embodying illusion or a fleeting, dream-like existence. Or just like a Sawari tree that grows straight upwards bears no fruits, and it's stem is also hollow or a lump on a goat's neck that resembles an udder, so vainly is the life of such ignorant, their Karma is as fruitless as of Sawari tree and reproachable. Their acquired knowledge goes in vain just like a precious pearl in the hands of a blind or a coconut to the monkey. Their book of knowledge is like weapon in the hands of a girl child or as vainly as chanting of mantras' by a person lacking in purity. Their knowledge and Karma too go in vain. Being slave to Tamas Guna represented by inertia, ignorance and delusion that eclipses good intellect and destroys individual's ability to distinguish between right and wrong, shatters their mind. Tamas Guna like a demon has violence as it's tongue lazily lying in the saliva of desires and keep chewing the cud of discontent. The lolling tongue of the demon reaching the ears of disaster roams freely in the valley of vices. Hatred are it's fangs that rip, tear and crush the knowledge. It encompasses the ignorant like a Kumbha (pot) to the sage Agasti.
(the sage Agasti is said to have been born from a kumbha (pot))
Those who fall prey to this demon get drowned in the illusion of ignorance. The sensible thoughts do not reach those engrossed by the demon of Tamas Gun.
Let Me now have your attention Parth said Lord Krishna, what follows are the characteristics of the saintly beings that give peace to the soul."
