ऐसें अर्जुनें म्हणितलें I मग पुढती दंडवत घातलें I तेथें सात्त्विकाचें आलें I भरतें तया II 567 II
मग म्हणतसे प्रसीद प्रसीद I वाचा होतसे सद्गद I काढीं जी अपराध I समुद्रौनि मातें II 568 II
तुज विश्वसुहृदातें कहीं I सोयरेपणें न मनूंचि पाहीं I तुज विश्वेश्वराचिया ठायीं I आश्चर्य केलें II 569 II
तूं वर्णनीय परी लोभें I मातें वर्णिसी पां सभे I तरि मियां वल्गिजे क्षोभें I अधिकाधिक II 570 II
आतां ऐसिया अपराधां I मर्यादा नाहीं मुकुंदा I म्हणोनि रक्ष रक्ष प्रमादा - I पासोनियां II 571 II

पुत्राचे अपराध I जरी जाहले अगाध I तरी पिता साहे निर्द्वंद्व I तैसें साहिजो जी II 573 II

प्रियाचिया ठायीं सन्मान I प्रिय न पाहे सर्वथा जाण I तेविं उच्छिष्ट काढिलें आपण

ना तरी प्राणाचें सोयरें भेटे I मग जीवें भूतलीं जियें संकटें I तियें निवेदितां न वाटे I संकोचु कांहीं II 576 II
कां उखितें आंगेंजीवें I आपणपें दिधलें जिया मनोभावें I तिया कांतु मिनलिया न राहवे I हृदय जेवीं II 577 II
तयापरी जी मियां I हें विनविलें तुमतें गोसाविया I आणीक काहीं एक म्हणावया I कारण असे II 578 II

"Arjun said this and prostrated  before Lord with reverence. Suddenly he was overwhelmed by eight Sattvik Bhavas namely
1) Stambha- stunned.
2) Sveda- sweating
3) Romaancha- thrill
4) Swarabheda- break in voice
5) Vepathu- trembling
6) Vaivarnya- pallor, change of colour.
7) Ashru- tears
8) Pralaya- swoon, fainting
Deeply moved he urged Lord to save him from drowning in the ocean of offenses. We always approached You in friendly manner and so didn't give you the honour You deserve. We feel guilty. I asked You to be my charioteer, in a way subordinated You. Yet the praiseworthy You never lost an opportunity to applaud me. Your fondness of me has always been my pride. My offenses are countless, yet I seek Your forgiveness. I know I don't deserve this request. But it is like a child's endearing talk with his father. The father forgives his child's gravest offenses, or with a friend, one can pour his heart out without inhibitions. A deep, comfortable, and genuine relationship is free from pretense or rigid social rules. Just like a wife, devoted to her husband by body, mind and speech confides in him freely when no one is around, similarly please consider this to be my earnest request to You. There is another reason as well."
