"Lord Krishna said, those who are not affected by gratification of senses are saved from the otherwise unending cycle of death and rebirth.
Detachment or having a mind open to everything but attached to nothing in itself is liberation from the mundane existence."

Let me now tell you something that the truly wise understand very well said Lord Krishna to Arjun. There is the Ageless Universal Energy that pervades everywhere in the creation — the driving force within the Creation. Just like when presented with mixture of milk in water, the swan is believed to have the ability to separate milk from water and drink only the milk. The astute people subject gold to fire so that the impurities separate and the pure gold emerges. Just like churning separates the butter from the buttermilk, the truly wise with their deep reflection see the pure, divine essence within oneself separate from the impurities of the mind.
The winnowing basket separates the grain from the chaff by tossing the mixture into the air and letting the wind blow away the lighter chaff. Similarly the truly wise realize that the allure of worldly attachment or Maya is only an illusion and behind all multiplicity of this manifold universe, there is but one Absolute Reality, the eternal Supreme Essence that persists in all its splendour."
