While the wild uproar on the battlefield Kurukshetra stirred up the heaven, let's have a look at what is happening in the Pandav army. The chariot carrying Arjun came into the sight with Lord Krishna holding it's reigns. This chariot was gifted to Arjun by fire-god Agni, and was capable of conquering all directions. The four horses yoked to the chariot were as quick as an eagle. The Kapi Dhwaja was the name of the flag on Arjun's chariot. The flag was named Kapi Dhwaj because it featured a picture of Lord Hanuman, kapi means "monkey", with Lord Hanuman considered as the Avatar or incarnation of Lord Shiva. The glorious chariot of Arjun is like the huge Meru mountain with wings. It is a golden mountain at the center of the universe. This winged mountain of solid gold shining as brilliantly as fire illuminated all ten directions.

Words are too inadequate to describe the glory of Arjun's chariot with Supreme Lord Krishna as his charioteer. Out of His causeless mercy Lord Krishna engages in the service of His friend devotee Arjun. He never fails in His affection for His devotees, and thus He is addressed as infallible. And so He took the initiative and blew his conch, Panchajanya. The tumultous uproar of the battlefield noise of Kaurav army was thinned by the sound of Panchajanya, said to embody Aumkar, the primordial vibration that birthed the universe, just like shining stars of night are dimmed with the sunrise. Arjun followed suit and blew his conch Devadatta. Their combined sound was so frightening, as if the universe was pounded into pieces. Furious Bhimsen also displayed his ferocious aggressiveness blowing his conch, Paundra that echoed like the cloud of death closing in. Paundra symbolizes Bhimsen's immense physical strength and courage. Dharmaraj Yudhisthir followed suit and blew his conch, Anantavijay that symbolizes Yudhishthir’s unwavering commitment to Dharma and his belief in the ultimate triumph of justice. Nakul blew his conch Sughosh that reflects Nakul's charming personality and his skill in diplomacy and negotiation followed by Sahadev blowing his conch Manipushpak. It's subtle yet captivating sound reflects his strategic mind and ability to overcome enemies through skill and intellect. Together the deafening sound of conches by Pandavas' made even Yam, the God of death afraid."
