 अध्याय दुसरा

II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II

म्हणोनि विषय हे आघवे I समर्था मनौनि सांडावे I मग रागद्वेष स्वभावें I नाशतील II 331 II
पार्था आणिकही एक I जरी नाशले रागद्वेख I तरी इंद्रियां विषयीं बाधक I रमतां नाहीं II 332 II
जैसा सूर्य आकाशगतु I रश्मिकरें जगातें स्पर्शतु I तरी संगदोषें काय लिंपतु I तेथिंचेनि II 333 II
तैसा इंद्रियार्थीं उदासीन I आत्मरसेंचि निर्भिन्न I जो कामक्रोधविहीन I होऊनि असे II 334 II
तरी विषयांतही कांहीं I आपणपेंवांचूनि नाहीं  I मग विषय कवण कायी I बाधितील कवणा II 335 II
जरी उदकीं उदकें बुडिजे I कां अग्नि आगी पोळिजे I तरी विषयसंगे आप्लविजे I परिपूर्णु तो II 336 II
ऐसा आपणचि केवळु I होऊनि असे निखळु I तयाचि प्रज्ञा अचळु I निभ्रांत मानीं II 337 II

"And therefore conscious parting from the worldly desires helps to keep anger and hatred away. With this done even the gratification of all ten senses too cause no harm. The sun rays illuminate the entire world, yet it stays non attached. Similarly is the one indifferent to the senses with the mind open to everything but attached to nothing. With the absolute detachment and having transcended the duality, the mind's restlessness ceases to be and it thoroughly revels within. Such a realized soul sees no desires but only the Self everywhere. And so to say that desires affect him will be as improbable as the water sinking itself or fire burning out the fire. Such a person is called as Sthitapradnya."
