 अध्याय तिसरा


II श्रीराम जय राम जय जय राम II


जैसें गतायुषी शरीरीं I चैतन्य वासु न करी I कां निर्देवाच्या घरीं I न राहे लक्ष्मी II 109 II
तैसा स्वधर्मु जरी लोपला I तरी सर्व सुखांचा थारा मोडला I जैसा दीपासवें हरपला I प्रकाशु जाय II 110 II
तैसी निजवृत्तीजेथ सांडे I तेथ स्वतंत्रते वस्ती न घडे I आइका प्रजा हो फुडें I विरंचि म्हणे II 111 II
म्हणऊनि स्वधर्मु जो सांडील I तयातें काळु दंडील I चोरु म्हणूनि हरिल I सर्वस्व तयाचें II 112 II
मग सकळ दोषु भंवते I गिंवसोनि घेती तयातें I रात्रिसमयीं श्मशानातें I भूतें जैसीं II 113 II
तैसीं त्रिभुवनींचीं दुःखें I  आणा नानाविधें पातकें I दैन्यजात तितुकें I तेथेंचि वसे II 114 II
ऐसें होय तया उन्मत्ता I मग न सुटे बापा रुदंता I कल्पांतींही सर्वथा I प्राणिगण हो II 115 II
म्हणऊनि निजवृत्ति हे न सांडावी I इंद्रियें बरळों नेदावीं I ऐसें प्रजांतें शिकवी I चतुराननु II 116 II
जैसें जळचरां जळ सांडे I मग तत्क्षणीं मरण मांडे I हा स्वधर्मु तेणें पाडें I विसंबों नये II 117 II
म्हणोनि तुम्हीं समस्तीं I आपुलालिया कर्मीं उचितीं I निरत व्हावें पुढतपुढती I म्हणिपत असें II 118 II


"Just like soul leaves the body whose days are over or wealth forsakes the person who doesn't deserve the riches, in the same way when one doesn't follow his Swa-dharma, it is as if the very foundation of  happiness is lost. Just like as soon as the lamp goes off, the light ceases, not following one's Swa-dharma the freedom is lost. Lord Bramha further said, the death will strip of everything from the person who doesn't follow his Swa-dharma and punish him like a thief. He will go through immense sufferings. And then there is no way out for him even if he repents his doings later. And therefore one must follow Swa-dharma diligently and don't let the senses go rampant, advised Lord Bramha to all. He added, just like fish out of water cannot survive for long, not following one's Swa-dharma is detrimental. And therefore I urge all to do the prescribed duties wholeheartedly."
