"Lord Krishna said, it will be foolish to say that Naishkarmya or going beyond action and inaction means not doing your prescribed duties. It will be like denying the boat when it is the only means of crossing the river during the floods or not cooking food though famished or not eating despite the cooked food is ready. The karma in inevitable till complete desirelessness is attained. In the ecstasy of self however the karma ceases. And therefore Lord Krishna urged Arjun that those who yearn Naishkarmya should simply focus on doing their prescribed duty detaching from outcomes even amidst the flow of the world. It will be foolish to say that Karma ceases by doing it or by not doing it. And therefore it is not possible to discard or disown the karma."
