"Lord Krishna said, a Nishkam person is someone who performs actions without desire, expectations, or attachment to the outcome. Such a person having attained the Supreme Realization lives in the world but not of the world. He doesn't restrict his senses from gratification, but at the same time has no fear that the senses would go rampant. He doesn't avoid his prescribed duties. He works diligently in a way that shows care and conscientiousness in his duties, but doesn't get egoistic. No worldly desire entices him and his ability to stay detached from the worldly attachments is like the lotus flower that grows in muddy water yet remains untouched by it. In other words, it is having a mind open to everything, but attached to nothing. Just like the sun appears to be merely an object when seen as its reflection in water, similarly though the Nishkam person appears to be an average person. It's difficult to comprehend his true depth. These are the attributes of a truly desireless person free of false ego, ignorance and delusion. He is called a 'yogi', and  I want you to be such 'yogi' urged Lord Krishna to Arjun. Control your mind and emotions and practice mindfulness. An emotion is only as strong as you allow it to be. Allow your mind to find inner peace. Because when this happens the sense organs following their natural course affect you no more."
