"However we may try to describe it, it is impossible to portray the longing Lord Krishna had with His beloved Arjun. This is because how can one describe the Supreme Lord who is unable to describe Himself? His incessant urging to Arjun in itself reveals how engrossed He was in His beloved Arjun. Lord Krishna urged Arjun to listen attentively. He said, let me illustrate to resolve your confusion. It will be to enlighten you about the many questions that arise from it like what is the yogic path (Yoga Marga), what is it's use, who holds the authority in this for others to follow etc. With this preamble Lord Krishna began His enlightening discourse. Sant Dnyaneshwar says, let me, the obedient disciple of Sant Nivruttidas describe what Lord Krishna advised to Arjun regarding how one should practice Yog without renunciation or without giving up worldly duties."
