"Lord Krishna said, one must consciously give up the feeling of excessive pride or acute self importance and become the embodiment of Brahma the ultimate reality or the Absolute. The person who considers his body as his true self becomes it's slave just like a spider is stuck in its own web. In essence, the spider web metaphor encourages introspection and self-reflection. It prompts us to examine our actions, choices, and thinking patterns to see if they are leading us into a trap of our own making.
The person lacking in good judgement gives importance to insignificant things despite having an opportunity of acquiring wealth.
Someone in delusion says he has lost himself when actually nothing has changed, except the conscience lacking. A wound from a weapon in dream cannot be real. It is as inappropriate or unfounded reason, like a parrot being frightened by a plant tube. The tube turns by the weight of the parrot sitting on it. When this happens the parrot must fly off. But due to fear despite being upside down it holds the tube in its mouth more tightly. In the panic of the false perception that there is no way out of this trap, it desperately holds the tube with its feet as well. In this way if one gets caught in a difficult situation without any valid reason, how can the blame be put on others? The delusion is so powerful a thing that the parrot will not leave it's hold on the tube even when it is cut in half. And therefore subjecting to duality of mind and with inability to think with reason man becomes his own enemy.
Lord Krishna said, the notion "I am this body" is an illusion for a Self Realized Soul."
