"Sant Dnyaneshwar said, let me have your attention. Its my solemn pledge that, what I am going to tell you will delight you. I am not saying this with a feeling of pride, but it's my humble request. This is because with you as my maternal home, all my wishes will be fulfilled. The waters of your grace flourish Happiness like a huge tree in full bloom. And in its cool shed I find refuge. You are a deep pool of Amrut, the divine nectar offering spiritual nourishment. And therefore I take this opportunity to present myself without any fear. My narration seeks your fondness, just like a Mother's love outpours watching the babbling and toddling of her baby. Otherwise who am I to speak before such a wise audience? It will be like the learned taking lessons from a uneducated. The glow of the firefly, however big it may be, is nothing before the radiance of the Sun. What delicacies can be served in a plate of Amrut, the divine nectar? It is like fanning the moon having cool soothing moonbeams. It will be like singing before Nada tattva, the primordial, unmanifest sound or vibration that is the source of all Creation. It is like adorning the ornaments. Can fragrance sniff itself? In what deep pool can the sea bathe? What can encompass the whole sky in itself? Similarly the oratory should be that evokes applause, a rewarding affirmation from the audience. Just like the sun illuminating the entire universe is venerated by a small light from a flame or just like offering to the ocean it's water holding it in cupped hands, this naive devotee offers worship, assuming the audience as the Supreme Lord Shiva.
Hope you accept my mundane words that are like a three-leaved sprig from a Nirgundi tree assuming them as Bilva Patra.
(Three-leaved sprig from the Bel tree is highly sacred and is offered to Lord Shiva during worship.)"
