तरि एक वेळ वेदवेद्या I जी त्रिभुवनैकआद्या I विनवणी विश्ववंद्या I आईकें माझी II 444 II
ऐसें बोलोनि वीरें I चरण नमस्कारिले शिरें I मग म्हणे तरी सर्वेश्वरें I अवधारिजो II 445 II
मियां होआवया समाधान I जी पुसिलें विश्वरूपध्यान I आणि एकत्र चि काळें त्रिभुवन I गिळितुचि उठिलासि II 446 II
तरि तूं कोण कां येतुलीं I इयें भ्यासुरें मुख कां मेळविलीं I आघवांचि करीं परिजिलीं I शस्त्रें काह्या II 447 II
जी जंवतंव रागीटपणें I वाढोनि गगना आणितोसि उणें I कां डोळे करूनि भिंगुळवाणे I भेडसावीत आहासी II 448 II
एथ कृतांतेंसीं देवा I कासया किजतसे हेवा I हा आपुला तुवां सांगावा I अभिप्राय मज II 449 II
या बोला म्हणे अनंतु I मी कोण हें आहासी पुसतु I आणि कायिसयलागीं असें वाढतु I उग्रतेसीं II 450 II

"And therefore I request You, said Arjun to Lord Krishna the most venerable to the universe, One who can be realised only by Vedas and is the root cause of the three worlds, and bowes his head with reverence before His Lotus feet. Arjun said, let me have Your attention beloved Lord. I asked You to illuminate me by displaying Your Vishwaroop, that it will give contentment to my soul, but contrary to that You are swallowing the three worlds. And therefore I want to know more about You, the purpose of all of Your terrifying mouths, the sharp weapons You wield in Your hands. Larger than the sky when you look with rage filled eyes, the fear it instills in no less than that by Yama, the Lord of death. On this Lord Krishna said, so you want to know about who I am and the reason for the ever increasing gruesomeness."
