"And Arjun, said Lord Krishna, there is something else you have not thought about yet. You have arrived on the battlefield Kurukshetra in the warrior bearing. On this background if you backtrack and withdraw, may be due to kindness towards your enemies, what impact do you think it will have on your enemies? Think about this and tell me."

"Your enemies will say, Arjun was frightened of us and hence ran away. Would you like to be called a coward? People work hard to earn fame and honour and at times even put their life at stake. You however already have it without putting much effort. Your glory is like sky with no equal. You are renowned in three words for your finest virtues. Your praises sung by Kings across the world makes even the God of death afraid of you. Parth, said Lord Krishna, your fame and honour is as impeccably flawless as the waters of river Ganga. Warriors across the world follow you as ideal Kshatriya. Knowing all this your enemies have lost hope of survival. The Kauravas' fear of you is just like hearing the roar of lion the herd of aroused elephants feel it is end of the world. They are sure to be killed by you just like snake is to the eagle. If you now backtrack and withdraw from the battlefield, all your greatness will be lost and you will become lowly. And even if you do run away, your enemies will not let you do it. They will arrest you and dishonour you. That will break your heart. If it is so don't you think it is honourable to fight the war with valour? Because if you win, you will rule the entire earth."
