"Providing the senses according to their liking pleasures the mind. But just like the company of a thief is pleasurable only till his true identity is revealed or just like the temptation of a sweet tasting poison may prove to be fatal if it is consumed without a conscious thought. A fish is lured and tricked by a false bait, trapped by a deadly hook, and dragged out of the water to its death against its own will. Just like the fish is caught unawares by the bait which is actually it's death in disguise, an individual loses his poise as soon as the desires seek gratification. Just like a hunter uses ambush hunting to trap a deer, similarly a person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Temptations do not give us what they promise to give us — they are a lie meant to trick us into getting ourselves hooked and trapped onto sin. And therefore Parth said Lord Krishna, One should be very careful of these three enemies to human life: lust, anger and greed. One commits sins under the influence of all three of them. Greed is nothing but intensified desire, while anger is frustrated desire. And therefore do not let these roots of all evil accompany you, in thoughts as well as in deeds and allow them to interfere with following one's Swa-dharma."
