"Then spoke Lord Krishna, the indweller of the Lotus of the Heart, the purity within our being whose divine presence overjoys everyone including the most detached yogis. He said, while contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises. Where lust and anger are, there is not even a trace of kindness. They are as cruel and ruthless as death. They are the venomous snakes coiled around the true knowledge preventing the seeker from accessing it. These senses on prawl are like tigers ready to pounce on their prey. They are the impediments on the path of devotion violently attacking like robbers."
