येथ एक नवलावो I जो जो कीजे तरणोपावो I तो तो अपावो I होय तें ऐक II 82 II
एक स्वयंबुद्धीच्या बाहीं I रिगाले तयांची शुद्धीचि नाहीं I एक जाणिवेचे डोहीं I गर्वेंचि गिळिले II 83 II
एकीं वेदत्रयाचिया सांगडी I घेतल्या अहंभावाचिया धोंडी I ते मदमीनाच्या तोंडीं I सगळेचि गेले II 84 II
एकीं वयसेचें जाड बांधलें I मग मन्मथाचिये कासे लागले I ते विषयमगरीं सांडिले I चघळूनियां II 85 II
आतां वार्धक्याच्या तरंगा- I माजीं मतिभ्ंशाचा जरंगा I तेणें कवळिजताती पैं गा I चहूंकडे II 86 II
आणि शोकाचा कडा उपडत I क्रोधाच्या आवर्तीं दाटत I आपदागिधीं चुंबिजत I उधवला ठायीं II 87 II
मग दु:खाचेनि बरबरटें बोंबले I पाठीं मरणाचिये रेंवे रेंवले I ऐसे कामाचे कासे लागले I ते गेले वायां II 88 II
एकीं यजनक्रियेची पेटी I बांधोनि घातली पोटीं I ते स्वर्गसुखाच्या कपाटीं I शिरकोनि ठेले II 89 II
एकीं मोक्षीं लागावयाचिया आशा I केला कर्मबाह्यांचा भरंवसा I परी ते पडिले वळसां I विधिनिषेधांच्या II 90 II
जेथ वैराग्याची नाव न रिगे I विवेकाचा तागा न लगे I वरि काहीऔ तरों ये योगें I तरी विपाय तो II 91 II

"Lord Krishna said, overcoming river Maya is not simply an intellectual exercise and therefore some tried to transcend the river Maya, the illusion of the material world, through the intellect alone, but in vain. Others were drowned in the pride of their knowledge. There were those who in their quest of learning the three Vedas' Rugved, Samaved, and Yajurved were burdened additionally by their "I" Consciousness. The frenzy fish swallowed them whole. Those who used the force of youth, their boundless urge of sense gratification for transcending river Maya fell prey to the powerful jaws of sense entanglement cocodile that chewed them for sometime and then discarded. Going ahead the onset of senility brings the physical and mental decline associated with old age with loss of memory. Struck by sorrow and caught in the whirlpool of anger, the troubles pounce upon them hard like vultures. In the end caught in the quagmire of suffering and stuck in the mud of death, they get drowned in it. Lord Krishna said, the life of people addicted to the sense entanglements thus goes waste in entirety. There were some who wrapped yadnya karma around their waist for transcending river Maya, but they too were caught in the crevices of the heavenly pleasures. There were some who took the support of arms of Karma to seek Moksha, yet could not get out of the vortex of dos' and don’ts. Where the boat of dispassion cannot enter, and the sense of discrimination has no place is the river Maya. Very rarely though, but one can transcend Maya, and that is by Yoga Marga. The only way one can transcend Maya is by Yoga Marga."
