"There is yet another way to comprehend My Supreme Abode into which the yogi's merge in the end. The accomplished yogis  consciously choose the time of their departure from the physical body, selecting an "opportune time" to leave. This is not merely about choosing a day or hour, but rather about aligning their consciousness with the Supreme Consciousness, ensuring they transcend the cycle of rebirth. The conscious choice of departure is a way to ensure a smooth transition to the spiritual liberation potentially avoiding further cycles of reincarnation. And therefore said Lord Krishna, "Sayujya" characterized by the soul's complete merging with the divine, losing its individual identity to become one with the divine consciousness and the otherwise endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth, both depend on the time of death. Let Me have your attention Parth, for I shall now illustrate the importance of the moment of death. In the trance like state when death nears, that involves the cessation of all bodily functions, the Panchamahabhutas' that constitute the body get out with their dissolution or merging back into their source in nature. Even in this state, the accomplished yogis' do not lose their poise and equanimity. Their intellect is saved from delusion and their focus doesn't waver from their True Self. Their mind is alert and the five sense organs (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin) ever fresh. A Realized yogi remains calm and composed even in the face of death. The body needs fire to sustain this state till the life force leaves the body for good. Being put off by wind or water if the lamp loses its illumination then what would eyes see even if they have a good eye sight? At death, the body's core temperature begins to drop, and the metabolic processes that generate heat cease. The life force or vital energy is linked to the heat within the body. Thinning of the life force (Pran), the animating force behind all living beings, due to diminishing heat in the body turns the intellect inactive. The body without heat is but a lump of mud. It is like groping in dark, searching for something in a blind, uncertain, or aimless manner. Practicing the Remembrance of God emphasizes the importance of cultivating a lifelong connection with the divine to prepare for the transition of death, so that in the end when the body fails in every way, His Remembrance continues without effort. The same is true for the yogic practice too, otherwise it will be just like dousing the light before sighting the treasure. And therefore reiterated Lord Krishna that adequate fire in the body is necessary for the pursuit of KNOWLEDGE, and especially at the time of death."
