"I become a calm, serene "temple of the Guru". It is cultivating inner stillness and peace by embodying the Guru's qualities, often through practices like meditation, mindfulness, quiet contemplation, and aligning your actions with his teachings, transforming your own being into a sacred space for divine presence. It involves simplifying life, reducing noise and distraction, focusing on inner awareness, and drawing strength from ShriGuru's guidance, making you a conduit for serenity. Becoming his faithful servant act as an instrument of the ShriGuru's will. Become the thresholds ShiGuru would cross now and then and gladly stand as the doorkeeper. I will become sandals of ShriGuru and put them on his feet. Become Chhatra or parasol on ShriGuru's head, and will hold it over his head. Become an attendant who cautions of uneven-ness of path, and at times hold his hand on the way. I will become the waver of the fly whisk, hold the zari, a pitcher like vessel to pour water into cupped hands of ShriGuru for him to gargle. Become the container into which he spits the gargled water. Become betel box used for storing ingredients for betel leaf chewing and also a spittoon, a container used for spitting into after chewing the betel leaf. I will make arrangements of his bath and bathe him. Become seat of Shriguru, the clothes he wear, the different adornments and services rendered during worship such as anointing with sandalwood paste etc. Become cook and serve the offering. Assuming ShriGuru as Parabrahma, wave a lamp in worship soulfully. When he eats, I accompany him. Offer him betel leaf after the meal. Wash his dish. Sweep clean the ground where he sleeps. Press his feet. Become the raised platform and seat ShriGuru on it. This selfless service is a cornerstone of the Guru-disciple relationship."
